SCOTLAND

As a photographer, Scotland is a great place to visit. You can get great photographs any time of the year. The people are friendly and the landscape is amazing. Below are some images that I have taken on some of the Photo Tours.

Scotland (99 of 147) - Rannoch Moor finished

Rannoch Mor.

It's not often you get a shot of Rannoch Mor in this sunshine. If you do get the weather for it you have to stop and get the shot. A great place in any weather.

Scotland (37 of 147)

Glenfinnan Monument.

Glenfinnan Monument is at the head of Loch Shiel. The Monument marks the spot where on August 19th 1745, the Young Pretender, (Bonnie Prince Charlie) came ashore and raised his standard. This was the signal to start the Jacobite rebellion of 1745.

This is an amazing place to photograph. Like many places in Scotland you never know what you are going to get, but if you are lucky it can be outstanding.

Scotland (69 of 147)

Edinburgh Castle.

Edinburgh is a great city to walk around in, with many great opportunities to get some nice shots. Getting something unique is always worth working for.

Glasgow.

There is so much to photograph in Glasgow you may not know where to begin. The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is a great place to start. It's just over the river Kelvin from Glasgow University and within walking distance of the river Clyde.

Scotland (64 of 147)

Isle of Skye.

A magical place for photographers. The light is always changing and you never know what you are going to get. This is one place you will never run out of things to photograph.

Scotland (1 of 147) - Castle Stalker

Castle Stalker.

Castle Stalker is a four-storey tower house or keep picturesquely set on a tidal islet on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe. It is about 1.5 miles north-east of Port Appin, Argyll, Scotland, and is visible from the road about midway between Oban and Glen Coe.

Not an easy place to photograph, but if you time it just right it makes a great shot.
